Colt Riley Stewart

On Monday, March 14th, I went for a doctor's appointment and ultra sound. Wierd things happen to me when I get pregnant, one of them is my skin changes color and I look like I have a tan. Well, my stomach gets the darkest and it was DARK! So, the doctor decided we were inducing sometime during the week. After the ultra sound we were told to go to his office. When he reviewed our ultra sound he decided that Colt was going to be small and would grow better outside the womb instead of inside so induction was scheduled for Tuesday morning, March 15th=) We were so excited!!! When I told Chase that Colt was going to be born on the 15th, he was so excited, his birthday is December 15th. He also said, "I hope Colt looks like me and you, mom!" Melt my heart! I thought that was so sweet=)

On the 15th, we went in 5:00, broke my water at 6:00, and started pitocin and got my epidural around 9:00. By 12:00 I was 9 cm and 90% thinned but, everytime I had a contraction Colt's heart rate would drop to 70. About 15 minutes later, Dr. Mckee entered our room and said he had consulted with 3 other doctors and we were having a c-section. I was wheeled across the hall and at 12:39 Colt Riley Stewart was born, weighing 5 pounds and 12 ounces and 19 inches long. Although, we had an easy delivery with Chase, Colt's head was tilted just a little and he couldn't get it turned. I was scared to death! I think the unknown is always fearful. The moment I held our precious miracle nothing mattered, I was just thankful to have a healthy baby in my arms!

36 weeks

Kim also took these pictures for me at 36 weeks. We got some belly shots and some cute ones of Chase. I plan on printing them for keepsakes. Since this is the last time we "plan" on being pregnant, I wanted to have pictures to remember this special time! Thanks, Kim!!

Colt's Baby Shower

The adorable cake
Beautiful flowers

Precious diaper cake

WONDERFUL hostesses
Sweet pictures for Colt's nursery
Sweet gifts for Colt
Keely(39 weeks) and I (36 weeks)

Our gift from the hostesses was a new car seat and stroller. I love it!! It's small, light, and EASY...just what I need=)

On Saturday, February 26th, we had a wonderful baby shower for Colt. So many friends hosted and attended our party. We are truly blessed with such great friends. I could never thank them enough for coming and showering us with all the SWEET gifts. Colt is set with cute outfits and accessories!
On Monday, the 28th, I went to the doctor and my blood pressure was little elevated, high for me but still normal, and I was very swollen. So the doctor put me on rest with orders to rest for 2 to 3 hours in the morning and 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon to try to buy a little more time since I was only 36 weeks. Since, I have been off work my blood pressure and swelling has all gone back to normal. I am thankful for that but, now at 38 weeks I am ready to meet and hold my sweet baby! I know God is in control and Colt will make his appearance in God's prefect timing. So for now, I am spending lots of time with Chase and enjoying our time before we are a family of four.

Maternity Pictures

At 30 weeks, Kim Maye, took our maternity pictures. She is a FANTASTIC photographer and a good friend of mine! We are so blessed to have her in our lives!!! The picture at the top of our blog was also taken by her=)

Colt's nursery...completed!

The pictures on the dresser were taken by our fantastic friend, Kim Maye. I cannot wait to add my maternity pictures that she took onto the blog but, our disk drive on our computer is not working at the moment.=( I love his bedding and the picture above his bed. The picture will go on our hospital door when Colt arrives!
Everything is finally done in Colt's room. I am almost 38 weeks and we cannot wait for Colt's arrival! Chase is getting excited too...he loves to play in Colt's room...he usually has all his trucks lined up against his bed=) I know lots of changes will occur but, at this moment we are ready to meet our precious boy! We go back to the doctor on Monday...if all is good, then I will be induced on the 21st...I am hoping for the 15th...I think it would be neat for Chase and Colt to share the same day, just different months=) Funny story: We ordered his furniture right after we found out it was a boy, the bed and dresser were already in stock so we brought them home. We ordered the armoire and nightstand (in his closet for now). Well, a week later I realized that the armoire and nightstand do not match his dresser and bed. So we called the place we ordered from and they ordered the wrong style....so we are going to use them until the right ones come in. I am just thankful they are the same color and that the owner of the store is allowing us to use these until ours come in. I still LOVE his nursery and cannot wait to start using it!!

Billy the Exterminator

Chase was awe struck when he saw Billy the Exterminator at the World of Wheels. We got to the BJCC before the doors opened and headed straight to the Billy line. We were only a few rows back but had to wait for over an hour. When Billy walked out onto the stage Chase said, "Mom, he is REAL!" Chase had so much fun meeting Billy. When he got on stage, he would not pose for a picture because he was too busy talking to Billy. Billy carried on a nice conversation with Chase too. One question Chase asked Billy, "Where is Ricky?" (Which is Billy's brother) At the end, Billy thanked Chase for coming out to meet him...this made Chase's day! When he grows up he wants to be "Billy the Exterminator" not "Chase the Exterminator!"

The boys watching their cars race down the track...Chase got excited and thought he'd cheer his car on!
