Callaway Gardens

Rob and I took Chase to visit Allie, Beth, and Gabe last weekend. We enjoyed Saturday at Callaway Gardens. Chase enjoyed feeding the fish, swimming in the lake, playing putt putt, riding the train, and going down the water slide.

Allie loving on Chase:-)

Soccer practice...

if that is what you want to call it. Chase is playing soccer this year with his good buddies Riggs and Luke. I think it is going to be hilarious watching them "play."

All his soccer gear!

I'm ready to play!!!
Chase did a little of this...

and this...

and this...

and finally this...

He finally followed directions and kicked the ball into the goal! Rob is coaching the team and Alan and Jeffery are helping him. The good thing is that we have a laid back coach! The moms are too busy laughing at our kids.
My favorite picture from practice is this one! Luke laid out in the field and laughed. Boy, the first game in September will be enjoyable...at least I will get to laugh A LOT!!!!

A Day at the Lake...

with our friends. Alan and Dina invited Brittney and us to the lake for the day. We had a total of 9 kids!!! The kids always made the day interesting and fun.

Brittney, Annie, and myself on the tube!!! I wish Rob had taken pictures of Brittney and I falling out of it.
Brittney spent most of the tube ride with her head turned toward Chase because he talked to her the entire time!!! She said he asked a million questions. That is just like him to ask questions all the time!!! He asked her once if there were sharks in the water or just tiny fish way down deep.

First day of preschool!

Chase started preschool today!!!! Not only was he so excited but, I was too! He will now go to school with me!!!! I LOVED having my sweet boy at the school today. His teacher wrote a sweet note home and said that he played with ALL the kids today. (He only has six kids in his class) I loved hearing this about him. She also said he was GREAT!!!! I don't always see this side of him but, I am happy as long as he's good for other people. I know he's going to have a great year and I am thrilled to have him with me!!!!! He's already spoiled rotten...he had one of his teachers carrying his backpack for him!

Chase's first day of preschool!

I said, "I am going to take a picture of your back." He said, "Do I still say cheese?"

Chase with his teacher. He walked right in and started playing. I went to give him a kiss (thought he might want to stay with me) he looked at me and said, "BYE!" He said he had so much fun today. He was the caboose at school....he has no idea what the job is but loved doing it!!! He was sad that he went to the brand new preschool playground and not the big one across the road..too funny. I am so proud of him!!!

Boat and Go Kart Ride

Chase went on a boat ride after Ashlyn's birthday party. He had so much fun. He was worn out Saturday night!!!

Ready to ride!!!

I am ready too!

Captain Chase

My sweet boy!
Chase and Big Daddy always ride go-karts at the beach. Even though this was a short trip they still had to ride!! Chase loves riding with my dad, he always says, "We passed a lot of people!" Chase really thinks he's driving, he's concentrating so hard!!!

Ashlyn's First Birthday Party

Sunday was Ashlyn's first birthday, we celebrated it at Orange Beach on Saturday. We had so much fun! Chase enjoyed swimming in the pool and eating Ashlyn's birthday cake. Ashlyn did not like her cake at all so they gave it to Chase! He loved eating her little and big cake!

The Cake

Ashlyn's Cake
She did not like her cake and her cake did not like her. She whelped all up after eating it. Luckily, benadryl cleared up the problem and we didn't have to visit the ER.
Chase enjoyed Ashlyn's cake.

Chase sat in the chair and Ashlyn climbed right up next to him...so sweet:-)

The Broken Window

Today we spent our last day of summer break at the pool today with friends. Chase enjoyed his last day until...
he broke this window. All the boys were playing under the deck and Chase threw a rock and hit this window. Luckily, no one was hurt Chase just stood there with a confused look on his face. I looked at Chase and he said, "I did it!" He threw a big rock at the window! So I called my dad only to hear him say don't get onto him, it's fine, no big deal! (He was once a little boy that broke a window too) Then he asked what happened. Luckily, the window is a double pane and it only broke the first layer. I talked to Chase sternly about throwing rocks. He apologized to Big Daddy and Gi Gi when they got home. Of course they told him everything was fine! I have a feeling there may be more broken windows in my future with this little boy but it better not be with a rock:-)

Swim Play Date

Tuesday morning Jana and Pierce came to Gi Gi's to swim with us. We had so much fun catching up while Chase and Pierce played. Pierce and Chase were huge Gi Gi buddies. They followed her where ever she went. We had a great time!

Chase loves his boat!!

McWane Center

Friday we went to the McWane Center with my mom. Chase said his favorite parts were riding in the jeep through the safari and fixing the car. He was not impressed with the touch tank. He kept asking me, "Where is the BIG, BIG shark!" I guess he remembered the aquarium:-) We had a great time spending the day with Gi Gi!

Fixing the car!

I couldn't resist...he loves to wear goggles.

Sitting on the big fish!

Chase drove this jeep by himself. The lady asked him how old he was...she said he was one of the best kid drivers they've seen! I guess all the practice driving the hummer, jeep, and motor home have paid off....thanks Dad:-)!!
