I made Chase's valentine's present this year! I really enjoyed making this for him but, the best part was how much he loved his present. He slept on this pillow all the way home from Gatlinburg. He also told me that he loved his pillow! He made my heart melt:-) We had a great Valentine's weekend!

Gatlinburg

Rob and Chase having a snowball fight!
All bundled up!
Ready for the water park!

Tongue out=having fun!!!
Chase watching the taffy machine. I took this picture from inside the shop, I wanted to capture his face. I think it's safe to say, that he was mesmerized:-)

We watched the taffy being made from start to finish...Chase even got a piece of that warm, soft, taffy:-)

Chase's breakfast Valentine's morning.

Friday, Rob and I took Chase to Gatlinburg for the weekend (in the snow). He has been sleeping in his bed all night for over a month so we rewarded him! Chase is the child that works well with rewards, something BIG to earn at the end. We potty trained him with a sticker chart so I pulled another sticker chart out. This time he had to sleep upstairs all night, start to finish. Well, he did it, from the first day I started the chart. I am so proud of him!! When trying to figure out a way to get him to sleep upstairs all night, I told him that if he would sleep upstairs I would buy him a toy. He said, "I can wait until next Christmas to get that!" So I came up with going to an indoor water park. He was so excited!!!
Chase had a great time at the indoor water park. He loved the hot tub that went inside and outside. He also loved the bucket area. We are ready for summer time at the pool!!!
Chase cracked us up on the way to our hotel, he said, "Where is our sleeping compartment?" He also said "Look at those Grandsons walking down the street." (I think we need to call Gi Gi and Bigdaddy grandparents more often so he will learn the correct terminology:))

Valentine's Party

Chase had his school Valentine's party on Thursday and a party at Mrs. Sherrie's on Friday. I went to his party on Thursday, the kids ate a snack, passed out valentine's, and found the hidden hearts. He had so much fun! Friday's party at Mrs. Sherrie's was cut short due to the weather:-)

Chase was so excited to get this balloon from Mrs. Sherrie!

Why?

During nap time at school today, Chase stuck this bead up his nose. Holly, his teacher, said he came up to her calmly and said, "There is something up my nose." She looked and saw something so she took him to the nurse. While they were walking, Holly was explaining to him that we never stick stuff up our noses because we may have to go to the hospital for them to use a special tool to get it out. Chase said, " What kind of tool will they use?" Holly later told me that she was trying to scare him but he was way too interested in the special tool. Luckily, the nurse had him blow his nose and the bead popped right out. When I saw her later, she had the envelope with the bead in it for me to keep. I took a picture but think I will throw the bead in the garbage. Chase still managed to take a really good nap today. I had a long talk with him so I hope it never happens again:-)

The Greatest Show on Earth

Friday night we went to the circus and had lots of fun. Chase's favorite part were the motorcycles in the cage. Chase is in the question stage of life (and has been there since he could talk) so he wanted to know how everything worked. He enjoyed the entire show and was really good. We had a fun night as a family and with our friends!
